Botany Bay Council
The City of Botany Bay in Sydney needed to update their website urgently. Their old site was difficult to use, with an inconsistent menu design. It was also hard to maintain, all changes had to go through the IT department, meaning technical staff were bogged down making minor changes and document uploads for other departments. They selected Joomla to solve both issues.
blacklight productions helped Council re-organise their content, and using Joomla, create a consistent, easy to understand menu structure. Users don't get lost in the large amount of content aymore, the context based menu makes it clear where they are, and breadcrumbs show the trail.
The City of Botany Bay wanted a clean style that reflected their proud community built around modern Australia's birth place. blacklight kept it simple and understated, making sure that the wide demographic of users in the area can all access the website easily.
